“I have dreamt of buying a property abroad for as long as I can remember. And three years ago I found myself in the fortunate position of being able to realise my dream. I had decided on the location of Majorca and had given myself a rough price range but knowing what to do next was a bit of a conundrum. Commitments to ITV for The Bill meant that my time was limited and often left me with the only option of using internet websites.

I became increasingly frustrated with the lack of feedback and the inconsistent advice and information provided on the various websites. There is the legal aspect along with the finance and also the local background knowledge required in order to pick a specific region to meet all my criteria. I really did struggle to know who to trust I’m the type of person who likes to know who I’m dealing with so relying random websites feels very impersonal and generic. I did manage to book a couple of trips to Majorca but was very disappointed with the poor use of my time.
